2025 (MMXXV) will be a common year starting on Wednesday of the Gregorian calendar, the 2025th year of the Common Era (CE) and Anno Domini (AD) designations, the 25th year of the 3rd millennium and the 21st century, and the 6th year of the 2020s decade.
2025 will be the first square year since 1936, as 2025 is the square of 45.[1]

- Comet C/2024 G3, if it survives perihelion, could brighten to magnitude −2.0 or higher and reach naked-eye visibility.[5]

[edit]- January - NVIDIA is expected to release its GeForce 50 series GPUs in early 2025, likely around or after CES 2025 (January 7–10). The GPUs will feature the new "Blackwell" architecture, significant advancements in ray tracing, DLSS, and up to 32 GB of GDDR7 memory.[20][21]
- Rockstar Games will most likely release Grand Theft Auto VI sometime in late 2025.[citation needed]
